OK.IM TRYING TO ACHIVE THE COLOR OVERLAY LIKE ON THE BACKGROUND IMAGES IN EACH OF THE FOUR IMAGES BELOW. I TRIED ALL BLENDIN MODES BUT STILL DON'T COME CLOSE.

Hi swizz...
Well actually... ya, the blend modes are what can be used for that effect.
BUT... try this anywho... add a HUE&SAT Adjustment layer above your main photo/image... click the "Colorize" option checkbox, and set the HUE and SAT sliders to your liking. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
After setting up a colour... experiment with changing the blend mode of the Adjustment layer. Just to see that that can also produce some other type of effects.http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
ALL I CAN SAY IS THAKKKKKKKS!! VERY MUCH AGAIN
