Scanner + Xara = Fun. The attached image is a thing-a-ma-jig that I scanned at a high resolution. The real item is fairly small. I manipulated it in xara to add some more mystery and a more interesting pallet of colours.

Anyone care to guess what it is? I doubt anyone will get it exactly.

    Regards, Ross

    Ross,

is it a flux-capacitor and as such part of your time-machine ??
Just waiting for your DeLorean, aren't you ??

How exiting anyway, could you please mail me next week's lotto numbers, just me ??

    Thank you

It ain't - but it does have a resemblance doesn't it. The real device is almost as big as my little finger.

The real device really does look like it could be a part from a time machine. Not the deLorean type though - much more Victorian. The device is at least sixty years old.
