Valery is a very talented artist and it is always a pleasure to hear from him and see his work here. Valery please post any new works you have for us here at the gallery. We are all waiting with anticipation to see it.

Bruce, I am so pleased with your “cheers” and a warmth you tell about my works.
Now I am busy with teaching students. So at the moment I have not enough time to create a PICTURE , but I post one of my Xara sketches about digital technologies which give us a global web of connecting and control.

Maybe I miss this, but do you use graphics tablet or mouse?

    hi Dmitry,

That is a good question! Valery is a trained artist, so I would imagine he prefers a tablet. But then... what do I know...

Well. Actually I use mouse but sometimes I prefer to draw with tablet (hair, some kind of fabric folds and unique natural objects). Mouse give me possibility to edit precisely every point and curve. Tablet let me to draw emotional lines. So using tool depends from an aim I have.

I'm going to bump this thread again because this image of Valery's deserves to be seen over and over again as an example of what you can do when you are a master of the tools. Remember, this was done in 2001 without any fancy pants plug ins. Gaze upon this image, don your sackcloth and ashes, drop to your knees and prostrate yourselves humbly before the master of the vector.

If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.

Thank you very much , Big Frank. I was touched with your words, but my English is too poor for answer to you same way, where I can to explain what I feel.

With you there is not need, Valery, for a camera, one man does it all! Amazing artwork.
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.

This is an absolutely amazing artwork! Brilliant!
But seriously, i don't believe this image was drawn 100% from scratch without any existing photograph's as a reference - that would be simply mad!
