I clipped out a high resolution scan and applied stained glass transparency. It gave a transparent wing without having to draw several thousand vectors. The scans have been between 30 to 60 MB, and I have had to start a new folder to accomodate the files. It was nice to see what I was doing instead of drawing to shadows. I saved the wing to PNG, and see what else I can do with it. Rich

This wasn't too much trouble. I removed the color cast and made a clone to increase the density. I'll have to try a B&W to see what I get. Rich

The B&W trace is still a mess. I was looking at cleaning the cell areas first. The image was made by using the PS background eraser. Rich

Rich, have you tried rotating the 'Dragon Eyes' image 180° and viewing it that way? Now that is one cool looking bug!
