Movie Clips

I have created a movie clip in Flash MX 2004 that has rollover instances as well as buttons. However, my buttons will not follow the basic "gotoandPlay ("scene", 1)" command. Is there another script that I need to use to tell it to go outside of the movie clip and link to my scene?

This sounds like a Path problem. I never use scenes, they seem to be frowned on these day's. Perhaps if you could explain your problem in a bit more detail, we can find a solution.
