This picture can also be seen in the Xara Gallery. The cartoon character was inked and scanned. Colour textures, bump maps and transparency maps were made in Xara X (except the water and the chrome/silver texture). The bridge was done with the freeware app sPatch.
Then it was all put together in Vue d'Esprit (the original output was in size A4 with 150 dpi, rendering time 1:47 hours).
After that I got back to Xara X to add the text and some finishing, and then some unsharping in Photoshop.
