The drop down list with line widths shows the correct values, but when I select, let's say 0.25pt width for a line, it selects 25pts; selecting .5pt it uses 5, and so on. Basicaly it is removing the decimal part of the line width. I'm sure this is a setup problem but can't find anything in the options.

Can anyone help with this problem, so I don't have to re-install Xara?

    Thanks in advance

what happens if you highlight the line width value in the text entry box and enter the desired line width and press Enter to apply the change?

(Welcome to the Xara Conference by the way :-)

    Thaks for your answer.

    ...to the question...

It is the same. 0.25 becomes 25, 0.5 becomes 5 and so on.

I even tried to uninstall and reinstall XaraX, but the settings are kept somewhere, so the new installation takes the settings of the old one.

Many times when someone reports something like this it is caused by another application installing a different DLL file or making some change to the global registry settings.

If you adjust your local input settings in the numbers to the US scheme, it'll work. With the standard German keyboard layout you run into the same problem, as well as with many CAD apps.

The decimal symbol must be "," and not "." - that's all. Go to -> control panel -> regional options -> numbers and modify the entries accordingly.

You may be right, but the way it works for me is Input locals US, keyboard Portuguese. And if have the locals set to US, the decimal must be ".".
I guess the problem was some program that detected some how, that even if the language is set to US english, it should set the decimal to "," like it is in Portuguese.
