Yes, I use PNGs! Can think of one sad apology for a browser (begins with N and ends with 4.7) that doesn't display the transparency in transparent PNGs, but can't think of any other cons. Browser support is pretty good now, and there are so many pros... (Take a look at http://burnallgifs.org/ for a rundown!)
