...it'll give ya more texturing challenges too if ya make it an old man.
Thought you'd like that idea! hahahaa
Love that movie
Stu,
I love the mouth and teeth. Great expression. The eyeballs and ears look to much like they were just glued on. This may be the look you are after, especially if you are leaning more to the cartoon look.
Great job. Wish I could model characters as well as you. Back to practice time.

Thanks guys.
Gee thanks Mark.....hahahhaaaa ...ok guess who needs a new bumpmap now.
Randy I think its my art background that makes me able to model heads like that,I also think modelling is a lot about observation, for instance I am finding that points are starting to feel like using a pencil or a paintbrush as I move them around, and then I rely on my past knowledge of portraiture and sort of take it from there
Those ears I made are shocking so I am gonna go with cartoon
Cheers.
Stu.
Just watch your lighting, Stu. It's flat on in the image you posted, and the primary light source should be above him and very diffuse.

Thats just default lighting...and by default I forgot to turn it off
Does anyone know where I can get some reference material for wrinkly skin.I would prefer not too have to chase around old people with a magnifying glass
Cheers.
Stu.
Hi Stu--
I created a very servicable skin texture last year...I've used it on a dozen renderings.
Feel free to use the attached.
Now wrinkles and skin might belong together in real life, but you are not creating real life here (last time I looked, you were not into cloning). What you need to do is to pull the surface away from the center of the head where you would expect to find wrinkles.
I have no idea what the total capability of your software is, but you might consider painting the wrinkles as an after touch in Photoshop.
