If you have an idea for the group project post your sketch here. We are doing a single frame 3D image with robots. There will be a vote.

Here's my idea...
Just to clarify here... the BOT is the main focus, NOT the baby. Everything behind the bot can be (should be) varifucosed, with the bot(s) stealing the main focus.
It might be a neat idea for this concept too if the bot's eyes were made more visible, with a look of fear on his face as he glances behind him, and scampers away as fast as his little plastic stilt-legs can carry him. Trying to escape the clutches of the "attack of the plastic eating monster!".
Another note too is that more than one bot could be used here. And feel free to add more to this initial concept if anyone would like to.
Did you by any chance see "Tin Toy", a PIXAR short?
Let's do it!

Here's an idea. I call it 'search for meaning' and the scene shows a little robot using an ouigi (sp?) board seeking answers why his friend - another robot - has been smashed to pieces. Note the big hammer in the scene. In the background are the parts of the broken robot.
I think the idea has some relationship to the search for meaning many of us feel after the recent terrorist attacks. We're looking for answers anywhere we can find them. The rational robot turns to something as illogical as the spirit world in his desperation.
The image would allow the robot parts to be used twice - the assembled robot and for the disassembled. The hammer would perhaps offer a opportunity for a rusty worn object to contrast with shiny robot parts. The plastic ouigi table presents another modelling opportunity.
Any potential?

Look at all the contributors we could have for the Ouija board scenario!
It's fresh, it's a little smart-ass...I think we will need to vote after all the sketches are in, no?
My Best,

Both concepts are great! I think a vote needs to be done. Gary why don't you set a deadline for sketch submissions, and lets vote on it the next day.

Ok, my robot has a camera tied to his head and his kid is sending him into the sister's room.
Maybe with the kid more in shadow.

I think the sister idea is a little sick, maybe a brothers g-friend!!

I think the camera idea is cute. I could definately see a young boy, stretching his exploritory legs, doing something like that. Heck... i think i may even have seen an episode of the Brady Bunch that had that in it.
I do NOT think, in fact i'm 100% sure, that nothing "wierd" was meant by this idea. And actually, i don't think you should've taken it that way Steve.
Votes are surely in order it seems.
Let's do it
