After reading Pauls excellent tutorial, which I recommend to anyone interested in multiple objects in Xara 3D, I imported a crest I'd done previously.

I used a slightly different method than Paul. Firstly to ensure all objects imported at the same size and ratio I placed a large joined circle around each object. The circle was the same size in each export. Secondly I imported the objects into Xara 3D via .xar import

Finally I saved the gif image, imported into XaraX and removed the circle.

Sorry about the dead link, one of my isp's have removed my account so the tutorial is gone forever.

But don't dispair help is at hand, this is what you do

    1. open up Xara X (or flash)
    2. Import in the logo or graphic(it must be in vectorial format ie *.wmf *.ai *.esp *.emf)
    3. break up the logo into various sections, if its a football logo break it down as follows, all the parts that are green group together, all the parts that are white group together etc...
    4. with each part export it separatly, as a vector graphic( if your using xara x export a *.web, if your using flash export as *.emf or *.wmf) you may need to copy it into a new file to do this.
    5. Open up xara 3d4 and import the first section, centre it using the text tools, press enter (very important)
    6. now import the next section adjust size and alignment by using the text function (see picture)
    7. Follow step 6 for each section, change the colour of each section as you go.

I hope all this helps, if you need aditional help you can email me on paulr@contactbox.co.uk

    Paul
