Very nice red glossy woody part, Eric. Just an idea (but my display panel is perhaps too contrasted), the white parts are perhaps slightly overexposed ?

    Kind regards,

Nice job on the strat (even though I'm not really a fan of the fender designs) ... I like the reflective areas ... looks very glossy. Looks good with a darker (rosewood I assume) fingerboard as opposed to maple

I had one when I was in high school. Great design (sorry David) and great instrument--if not a bit over engineered. The cutaway design on the body made playing high on the next easy.

    Nice rendering.

yes my pic is a bit hit & miss...the body has a bitmap verlay faded to almost zero. my "strat" is sunburst with a hideous mother-of-pearl scratchplate which has to go! not bad for £25 tho' have any of you guys ever connected a 'leccy guitar into the mike input of your soundcrd? is there enough gain? i was also given a santana 12 string for nothing with a broken headstock which i've repaired, just got a few jobs to do on it now...can't wait to strum wonderwall on it
    ivan what is a rossette?

    cheers

    Hello Eric,

here is a guitar rosette designed by Ross Macintosh himself:

Eric ... I'm not sure what leccy means (hmmm must be British for electric ... you english and your wonky english!) but I have my small amp (30 watt) hooked into the line-in port of my sound blaster live (mp3 + 5.1 whatever they call it) and record tracks onto the computer (I found just plugging the guitar in without amp a little weak). The amp's not much and doesn't even have reverb however the sound blaster live card has AEX effects which I can apply to the recorded sound (reverb, echo, chorus, flanger, etc.... ). You should be able to record with some basic software (I use the software at http://www.voyetra-turtle-beach.com/...oducts/doppro/ a $59 US download ) although there's much more elaborate and expensive software (like www.cakewalk.com 's sonar ).

(I prefer Gibson, Gretsch, Rickenbacker designs ... although can't afford any of them)

    Here's a whole list of music software ... http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/COMPUTER_AIDED_MUSIC/

had a leccy - Used to pluck the strings
on an old country with one of my mums hair
grips. Nice pic Eric. Could have sworn the
strings were moving as I looked at it.

It looks good, however, it's too flat. I know the whole guitar has quite rounded edges, so try adding some lowlight/shadows around the edge of the whole red spot to give it more depth & realism
