The wings as you can see are not connected properly, and these wings were binned because they would not fold up correctly. The wing span I am looking for is about accurate though

Looking pretty cool Stu! Can't wait to see what you come up with for the wing texture. Hey, have you seen this dragon over at CGTalk? Glen's process was kinda neat - modeled low poly mesh in LW, then brought it into ZBrush for detailing and texturing. It's really pretty cool (the texturing on it is fantastic).

I love how even though 'dragons' are a well-known fantasy creature, people still seem to come up with some new and interesting designs (yours included!).

    Cheers guys

Earl - ya I have seen the Fell beast before.Indeed excellent texturing, then wings are a bit short and the neck a bit lng but its cool.I am going to try and stick to anatomy that could be possible if Its possible.

Texturing ya I have BP2 coming so that will make unwrapping much more easy thats for sure.I have some ref material of Komodo lizards and crocs etc.

The dragon in LOTR2 were very cool as well.

Gare - Ya definitely ani when I get the new puter and all the bits sorted out, thats why I want the wings folding accurately bud ,folding wings is not something you often see,so I want to do it.

    Cheers

    Stu.

    Hi Stu,

I agree with you, the wing span you show is appropriate for the dragon. Anything less would not have enough lift coefficent. Good luck on working out the correct fold. I forward to see your dragon fly
