What is a good book on Corel Draw (not Photopaint) 10 that covers the subtleties of
things like envelope, blend, extrude etc. with practical examples and exercises to show what it can do?

I mean something very much in advance of Dummies books.

Also, where can I find tutorials on extrude, envelope etc.?

You might want to get "CorelDraw 10 The Official Guide" by Steve Bain, published by Osborne/McGraw-Hill. If you can't find it in a bookstore, (it was published a few years ago), you could probably find a used copy on ebay.
