How do you make a URL like www.fusionwi.com/about/history .I know how to make www.fusionwi.com/about/ but how do I make the history me after that? In othere words how would I upload a page to make the URL www.fusionwi.com/about/history or whatever name I want.

Hey Jon! Let's see if I can answer this in a way that makes sense....

www.fusionwi.com/about/ indicates that "about" is actually a sub-directory of your site. "History" would be a file within that sub-directory. It works much the way your hard drive does... you create directories, which can house sub-directories and files.

For instance...when I create a new set to add to my site...I create a sub-directory...let's call it
Harmony. Within that sub-directory, I usually create another sub-directory to hold all the images...and name it....Images. Smart, huh? In the Harmony sub-directory, I would load the html file (let's call it Peace.html) for that set. So the url would be http://www.sanddancr.com/Harmony/peace.html. My code in the html page would reference the images in this manner "../images/background.jpg"

Is that clearer than mud? I hope so...but if not let me know and I'll try to come up with a better explanation.

Thanks That Helps alot. Hows your site coming. But now I pose another question. If your hosting allows subdomains how do you make those.

Glad that helped you, Jon! My site is on hold til I get some of this other work done....and because I can't decide on a design.

As to sub-domains....are they going to have their own domain names...or just be a part of your domain?

If they are a part of your domain, you would set up a sub-directory with their chosen name...and load all of their files into that directory. Their url would then be www.fusionwi.com/theirname/index.htm or html.

If they want their own domain name, it would be best to talk to your provider about how to accomplish that.
