Bevelled Text inside a shape?

I am trying to create a circle with text etched into it. I have tried using bevelled text, but that doesn't produce the effect I am looking for. Basically, if you have ever seen a wooden nickel or one of those name-plated made of wood with the name engraved, that is what I am trying to produce in Xara X1.
