smorg,

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll think about them but likely will change the page entirely since it doesn't appeal to me much.

Your ideas are good, though, and thanks for taking time to share them.

    Hi,

    Michelle,

    Thanks for your new contribution!

    Everyone,

In case anyone wants to create their own e-maps, it's very easy and I've posted a new tutorial on my website:

    http://www.pixelalley.com/tutorials/...se-e-maps.html

Also, there are three other new tutorials (all marked NEW with the month) posted in April and May at:

    http://www.pixelalley.com/tutorials/tuthome.html

    Hope you all enjoy them.

Don't forget that you can use e-maps in the Liquid Metal Dynamic Layer plug-in when you select Clone Source in the Map drop down box. Just make sure that you have the e-map selected in the Patterns Palette and no other clone source is active (other than the file you are currently working in) by looking in File:Clone Source. While you are working with Liquid Metal you can select different e-maps in the Pattern Library to automatically see the results. Also, you can apply reflections to any pen/brush stroke with Effects:Apply Surface Texture like I explained above. All you have to do is create a new layer by clicking the little down arrow in the Layer Palette. On the new layer, draw with whatever brush or pen. (The Smooth Ink Pen works well...) To apply the reflection, just select the Layer Mask in the Using: drop down box in the Apply Surface Texture dialog box. This is the trick to get that hand-written metallic/gel type. I'll show some examples later...

    Happy Mother's Day!!!

    -Michelle

P.S. There are even more ways to use e-maps but that will have to wait for another day..
