The real question that I guess I should ask is: Is it possible to produce a projector file (for a CD) and make it detect if the "Intro" has been viewed already. I want the intro to play through the first time the CD is played but I also want it to stop and give the user the option to skip it if it has already been viewed on that computer. Maybe some way to detect a TEMP file or something? I don't have a clue.

    Thanks in advance,

pretty much the same response as before - it's not easy at all to do, unless you package a txt file along with your projector. again, if you can use director for this project, it sounds like it might be a bit more suited to your needs...

I think you're right about using Director instead of Flash. Director is still new to me but I'll figure it out.

    Thanks a million,

There is a new tool called swf studio that will allow you to do that. I will execute a fs command to write a txt file to a directory that you choose to set up. and so the next time it will look there for the file and a variable. Its a great projector tool http://www.northcode.com/ This little jem of a tool does alot for the cash!! Regards, Bill
