I loved my old Umax s12 SCSI. But the SCSI card was giving that workstation fits and blue screens. I am sure many folks out there have had issues with these older scanners from Umax. I went to grab a nice Powerlook 3 this morning. All out. So I bought a Microtek 4600, and you know what? It does a nice job. And it runs on USB, SCSI denied! It should hold me over until the Powerlook arrives. But these cheap-o scanners are better than I thought! Good suprise.
