Do you have the Xara CD? There is a avi "Help" (movie) file there on blending. It also has two demos which shows how the blend tool is used in creating real artwork.

I believe Grant Remington's CD also includes these demos which you can purchase for a few bucks.

All of Gary's web xealots are fantastic. From page 2 onwards each one is stuffed with XaraX tips and tutorials.

Don't forget the help files in the program itself. In XaraX press F1, choose the contents tab then Tools and there are really helpful tips for both tools.
