My Menubar works in Mozilla, and doesn't work with ie6 SP2. You can see it in both, but in ie it might as well just be a graphic.

    Hi FP-User,

I'm assuming you are actually refering to IE6 with XP SP2, since Microsoft has not released an IE6 SP2 yet. The security settings for Windows and IE have been increased with the installation of XP Service Pack 2. All the hype mentions the pop-up blocker, but there are many more security lock downs done. Try adding your site to the Trusted Sites Zone in IE, this should allow the scripts for the roll-over buttons to work correctly. There are additional security related settings in IE, check the Security Center that was added to Control Panel when XP SP2 was installed.

http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Nice of you to answer Bill. But the real issue is that XARA did not prepare for SP2. The menubars should work without make my sites being trusted sites. In order to view any site using an Xara Menu, I have to make the site a trusted site. Obviously they can't all be trusted, It is such huge oversite by Xara that I would expect them to fix the problem by supplying an update version of WS4 with this problem corrected. The solution is not to remove all protection or to move any site that doesn't work into the trusted zone.

I get the same problem. The information bar appears & tells me

"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this file from showing active content that could access your computer."

However clicking the options I then get the chance to 'Allow Blocked Content'. The Navbars then work, but are not remembered for the next time I browse that same page let alone other scripts on other pages.

Do we rearly expect anyone who visits our site to delve into their security setting before they can view the pages created with Webstyle? If I hit such a problem with a site, I would just move onto the next one!

I think you are referring to the local zone htblast. Microsoft has tightened this zone and causes an information bar to be displayed when active content is viewed wihtin the local zone.

Its not something specific to Webstyle.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 has introduced changes to the Local Machine Zone.

An information bar will be displayed when viewing a page containing JavaScript within the Local Machine Zone.

This affects pages with Navigation Bars and Photo Album's inserted as script elements are inserted within your pages in both cases. The changes only affect the Local Machine Zone and not the Internet Zone.

The information bar will not be displayed when viewing a page with a navigation bar or photo album served from your web server. Information at the following pages describes the changes and provides information on allowing scripts to be displayed within web pages viewed in the Local Zone.
