Oh yeah..

.. I almost forgot. I have found out how to do that "arc" shape in Photoshop.

I have no clue how to do a "tut" but, you can find an example of it in the book. Photoshop 7 Down & Dirty Tricks.

It's called the "Illustrator Arc Text".

You'd probably be better adding these extrusions AFTER you do this effect, actually.
