    Hello

It has to be said that this is no masterpiece, but the task is to make a interesting image with just one brush and the brush tools.

It could be a real challenge to the more talented
    amongst us.

I think using only one brush for a project is the best to learn something about brushes settings!
Did you see my "spiro-engraving" post where I have shown an image with multiple settings of only one brush (I saw this morning Gary put this brush on my page in the XaraXone).
Another tip is applying pressure profiles and breaking the line at some points!

    Thanks and continue!

    Hi Mike...

I'm sure a simple animation's not quite what you had in mind, but I thought your challenge deserved to be bumped back up the page and it's all I can come up with right now!

    Hello

    No quite the reverse.

I meant any image or graphic that took the use of a single brush further than a doodle, which I have to say mine was.

I have to be honest, I did use transparency modes a shadow and different line colour with the brush.

It was a really a challenge to those among us with talent.

Yours was just the sort of thing I had in mind.

Couldn't resist another go at my single brush animation, and came up with the attached version.

Sorry it's 128K, but please wait for it to finish loading because it's quite spectacular once it gets going!

PS Uploaded the white-backed version because anti-aliasing the transparent version to a grey page colour didn't seem to work.

    Thanks, Allison...

Thought I'd better not take over Mike's thread here, so I've posted a little tutorial on how it was done, with the .xar file and a link to a second version of the 'fire'.

    Hello

    Terrific.

If you made it blue or green it would make a great eye. It has the fractal variation.
You would need to make it expand more and add a iris.
