I'm pulling my hair out on this one. I'm trying to create a targa file for use as a video post in 3ds max. I created a new file, put some text in it and then began playing. I tried setting the preferences/transparency & gamut and checked use video alpha, and saved it as a tga. Didnt work. So I created a new file and put some text in and added a mask (or alpha channel for older versions, I'm on V7. Again save as tga. Didnt work. I tried several different mixtures of all this and no luck. Neither of my professors at school could figure it out either. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
Does anyone have a clue how to make a tga file that can be used as a video post in max??? http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/confused.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

    Hi Carbon, welcome.

I think this question is actually more pertinent to the "3D" forum. At least there, you'll get guys that use 3DM and PS together that may be able to help.

I don't use 3DM myself, and something tells me that at least part of your problem lies within knowing how 3DM functions in regard to this subject.
