(The Font Thing's all very nice but doesn't handle OpenType files; Typograf does but isn't free and I don't like the interface as much. Would prefer to just use Xara's gallery.)

I guess I could hack something up with FreeType, but it's a bit of a pain. Xara themselves must have some sort of script to do it somewhere, or something...?

Antimix posted a tool for this here: http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.p...t+index&page=2

The link to the zipfile is screwed up, just replace the asterisks with **********. EDIT: Stop filtering my posts you darn forum! It's r a p i d s h a r e without the spaces.

It works great. Note that you need .NET Framework v1.1, which isn't available for Windows 7.

The font index tool "fontbox" link has been broken. If anyone has could it be possible to upload it again for me?

    Thanks...

Google for NexusFont. It's freeware. See if it meets your needs. I use the high-end FontExpert, but I evaluated NexusFont as a possible solution for a colleague a while back. Nice app.

Thanks amoore that's a good tool, but I need something that will create "Xara Font Index" to make a font classification under Xara Designer.
