I am not sure I understand your question.
What maps?

Egg Bramhill did a splendid Guest Tutorial #3 on creating a scalable Flash map if this offers any answer to your question.

The point that Paul is trying to make is that he's been pushing XaraX's virtues on this thread which has 30 odd posts (It's a mess of a forum) with visitors expounding the virtues of Illustrator, Freehand and Corel Draw. He's trying to show others the light.

Yes, I sometimes get fed up with the apparent one sided conversation which can be summarised as 'Adobe Illustrator is the only worthwhile professional package out there'. I was just pointing out the thread to anyone that had experience of AI that might like to say why Xara X is not a product to be ignored.
Paul
Some people, if not all, are not professional illustrator software users. That's some of them (msytyfied themselves) use mystyfying phrases like.. xyz is the only app to go ;-)
Roman
(Smack upside the head!)
What matters most is results. Xara produces results.
There are basically two groups of software users, those who are secure and those who are insecure. Secure users know they can achieve the results they want with their software and don't need to put down on other software.
Insecure users feel the need to trumpet to the world that their software is the best and every one else's software is trash. They most likely know nothing about the other software products.
There really is no way to make these people see beyond their own preconceived notions. And it is non-productive and a waste of time to even try.
I think we learned that in our brief excursion into IllustratorWorld.com.

Paul, you get frustrated because they don't take Xara X serious, a reason why you started this thread?
Lighten up man! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Some of them said that they had a look at Xara X in the past and that it wasn't the right tool for them.
You're the one one who's not taking their opinion serious. You automatically assume that they didn't spend enough time with Xara X to come to their conclusion.
I do have used Xara X for quite some time, but since the last 6 months I use nothing but Illustrator.
Get used to it... different people... different tastes... different goals.
