OK, I think we have the beginnings of a poll here which the guys at Xara should take note of for the next upgrade. The consensus in the thread was that Xartists don't like the way the following cannot be changed from the default:

1. Times New Roman as the starting font
2. Black as the default fill
3. Fill and Outline on by default

So the poll is:
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.
They're going to kill me anyway and I'd love to die the way I lived:
Avoiding Manual Labour.

Xartists
Xaratists
XaraXtists

they all work for me!

Think plain 'Xartists' is fine:

'Xaratists' is really just the same thing with a strong Scottish accent , and 'XaraXtists' sounds just a wee bit frightening!

Oh yes, and I've voted too...

OK, Xara, the fat lady hasn't sung yet, and there are precious few votes, but it looks pretty clear that, of those "owners who expressed an opinion" we have a clear wish list here!

9 out of 10 owners said their XaraXs needed more control over default settings!

Hope to get some more votes on this subject...

"Xartists" is interesting. I also like the simplier sounding "Xarists" and still like the older, somewhat established "Xarans"...

So far the pole results have been interesting too.

Another good one, Ross! My Russian granny was a member of a Tzarist family (no, I'm not making this up), but cleared out and spent most of her life in the UK.

Xartists is splendid because of the extra significance of the play on artists, but Xarists and Xarans are fine too. (A varied vocabulary can only be a good thing.) And, despite what I just said to AjIsCoool, my posts are mounting at an insane rate (and a lot of it stuff like this rather than Xara techniques and things!)...
