I think print from Adobe reader as booklet will print the pages for stitching

understandable - I was asked to do mailshots once for a society, usual thing no one else would do it [:D]; took me a week to get my head round it with word, I was sure glad when they did find...
you could do it in word if you have to, using mail merge, but I have not done anything like it for a long time; there are likely better ways, there is a learning curve to mail merge if you have never...

in xara there is a slider on the shape tool infobar right for smoothing nodes [curve points]
there is a school of thought that coloured icons can be confusing as the colour can take precedence over the shape
the same shape all different colours - easy to differentiate
the same colour...
it depends what sort of alternative arrangements you have in place ;)
