    Re: Smart Text

Why would you want the formatting to be retained instead of taking on the formatting that has been applied to the text / text area?

    Re: Smart Text

How are you trying to apply styles to your smart field value? If I insert a SF, then highlight it with the text tool I can apply bold / italic or change any style aspect of it. You won't be able to...

    Re: Xara needs glasses

Yes, this is a known user experience flaw. Program is busy doing something and the whole app locks up. It appears as though its stopped working as it doesn't respond to user input, and windows thinks...

    Re: Gaddesden Place

We mostly use internal development builds as it helps give it a general test. It's easy to forget that your using one when looking at a customers file, need to remember to switch to release build to...

    Re: Variants

It would mean practically a rewrite of our entire HTML filter so don't hold your breath lol. Would be nice to do away with all the spans though.

    Re: Variants

This would be near impossible with the way we currently implement supersites and variants. Without looking into it, the only way I can think this would be possible would be to split the variants into...

    Hi,

Can add that to my improvements list.

Seems a little redundant if your in the SF dialog?
  13. Re: "Paste>paste size" is cropping the image, instead of resizing it.

I believe the paste size option depends on the aspect ratio of the object you are pasting to. If it is the same (i.e. pasting the size of a square object from another square), it will scale it down....

This happens when the HTML .dll filter is unregistered. 9/10 the fix is to close the program and right-click the program shortcut > Run as Administrator.

Xara checks all filters on startup to...
  18. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

This is already on my suggestions. I suspect that removing IE completely is more of a bigger job than it sounds, so for a short term solution I have...

Hi everyone, many thanks for all your suggestions. I will be meeting with the product managers and directors shortly to try and push for these to be implemented.
