I don't have X3 but in X2 you go to the Window menu and uncheck the "Tabbed Documents" option.
I forgot to mention that you can also do the same thing in X2 by using the Pick Tool. I prefer to use the Object Selection Tool so I've added it to my toolbar.
Using the Object Selection Tool (press "O" on the keyboard to activate it), double-click on one of the black objects and a dialog box will open where you can change the color. You can also...
Which version of PSP are you using?
Someone on the PSPUG forum had the same problem with X2. A solution was posted here:

I don't think that that info is stored anywhere within the file.
Standard Encoding is the default setting. Just change it to that and it will stay that way until you change it again.
I couldn't open it in IrfanView, CompuPic or Publisher. After opening the file in PSP X2, and resaving it as a JPG, I can open it in those other programs. I don't see any difference between her...
You didn't say what method you used to save the PNG file but you might give this a try. It works for me but I haven't tried it with vector layers:

I'm using X2 on Windows XP and I've had my share of crashes and problems with it. I can never get X2 to open the first time I try and sometimes it takes three tries to get it to open. It doesn't...
That's great news. I'm glad you got it working again.

To prevent that from happening, don't click the Crop button on the Tool Options palette or on the little toolbar below your crop outline. Instead either click Apply (the green check mark) or...
When I do this in X2 on XP it does paste as a transparent selection and doesn't create a new layer, just a floating selection. When I select none, the pasted image becomes merged with the background....
Take a screenshot (Print Screen) of your computer desktop and open it in PSP. It will be exactly the right size. Just replace this with the picture of your choice.
In the Tool Options palette, set the Match Mode to "RGB Value". Now you can fill each letter individually with different colors.
Is this what you had in mind? http://www.genaw.com/linda/pink_photo.jpg
I got the best results when I changed my photo to greyscale then changed the colors back to 16 million. Then, I created a...
Super BladePro Reset Patch
This link goes directly to the file for download from Flaming Pear and it is an .EXE file.
Can I post the link to the reset patch? It's available for download from the Flaming Pear site but it's not listed on their download page. When someone clicks the link, it opens the download file...
I realize that it's a little late for a solution but there is an easier way to do this. Just cut out each section of the wood patterned panels and paste them as individual layers over the original...
