    Re: creating sub-folders in Xara

I'm sorry Arch, I just don't understand the question. You create a base website. Below that you create article sub-sites. Acorns diagram explains it fully.
  2. Re: Drop down (popup layer) Menu has become unreliable

Not sure I'm following here Acorn, I'm not using Xara's navbars at all, I avoid them like the plague, they create far to many image files, whilst small they create far to many calls on the server to...
  3. Re: Drop down (popup layer) Menu has become unreliable

Before I get into Acorns dislike of my seperate menu page I've adjusted my earlier mobile example to include a 'Back' button (though I don't really see a need for this)

    I've revised my earlier...

    Re: creating sub-folders in Xara

Perhaps that's my failing Arch but I did believe I explained it in some depth on the video, to the best of my abillity.

Basically you create two websites in Xara, publish one to your servers root...

    Re: creating sub-folders in Xara

Agreed Acorn, I don't normally upload the xar files to my server, just keep them on my local PC.

    creating sub-folders in Xara

Arch-Med1 recently asked me in a PM the following question leading from a video I did re sub-folders.

I've informed him PM's are not the best way forward. If I answer him on a PM only he may...
  8. Re: Drop down (popup layer) Menu has become unreliable

Yes, the main and mobile would need a menu page but nothing points to it on main site, so it remains unseen.
  9. Re: Drop down (popup layer) Menu has become unreliable

With the mobile variants I often prefer to have a seperate mobile menu, like so:

  10. Re: Drop down (popup layer) Menu has become unreliable

Glad to hear your initial problem is solved. The sites navigation looks much simpler now. ;)

The trouble is you're working on the site full time and it's often very easy to overlook things. I...

Here's an example of the way I'm thinking:

  12. Re: Drop down (popup layer) Menu has become unreliable

I also find your menu structure a bit confusing. You appear to have 5 main pages but often your menu only shows 4 such that the menu is not consistant across all pages. How about:
  13. Re: Drop down (popup layer) Menu has become unreliable

I can only confirm this is the case Ian. Things work as expected in FF & Chrome too initially but then they to get the non responsive menu links after a while.

Re: Pro+ and new Image Filename option

Yes, the silence is deafening Acorn. What is most annoying is that the devs don't even acknowledge the points you raise >:)
  22. Re: Sorry To bother, but I have a major problem. I had a stroke.

Hello Bob, so sorry to hear about your stroke and I hope you make quick progress in recovery.

Unfortunately the link you added to your wifes site leads to:

    Hmm. We’re having trouble finding...
