    Pantone Colours

For anyone wanting to find a bit of artistic joy through Pantone colours, there is a delightful little book that illustrates the Pantone rainbow with objects matching the Pantone colour pallet. Don't...

Re: Alls well that ends well

I don't know of any software offering specials like this for senior citizens.

If I was not a senior citizen I'd be miffed to be subsidising their choice of software.

    Existing users are already...

Incredibly brave, I couldn't have done what he did.

    Re: Resurgence

    I agree.

I love the small house picture - it's beautiful.
There's a picture of a huge window that has exquisite detail and they later stuck air conditioning/heating units in front of it - the...

Re: Any of these laptops good?

Behzad, I'd just like to add diagnosing performance bottlenecks isn't straight-forward. For example a program that required access to lots of data (images with Xara) can be prevented from working...

Re: Any of these laptops good?

Your CPU has four cores. You can only use one and a bit of those cores with Xara, so your CPU usage will always be low in comparison with the processing capability.

Re: Any of these laptops good?

behzad, you posted in another thread that it would continue here, but essentially everything you need to know was in that thread.

Essentially.. 4GB memory is low and Xara likes memory for big...

Re: Any of these laptops good?

Why are we re-running the thread that you already know about?

Two things matter to speeding up Xara software on a given machine - memory and an SSD Hard drive. 4GB isn't much these days.

    Re: Blackburn

It's a German balloon - it has a WW1 swastika on it and the plane is British. I was surprised to see it because I associate such balloons with barrage balloons (these balloons were used to lift steel...
  13. Re: It's a shame that Xara is ignored by Retro Supply and vector Lab products...

Serif claimed they had over a million customers some time back.

I doubt there's 10,000 Xara users, but I have no way to know. I guess we'd need to look up Magix/Xara Ltd financials.
  14. Re: It's a shame that Xara is ignored by Retro Supply and vector Lab products...

I suspect Xara has a far smaller userbase, on any platform. Not worth supporting and not with a demographic that that would support the effort.

Our downloader friend came to TG via viet-nam, not Austria. I would give those links a miss.

    Re: Pair of Navy Buccaneers.

It was my favourite, but I used too much glue and ended up melting part of the tail cone.

Your next challenge is having the buccaneer come in to land on the deck of a carrier..

    Excellent.

I made a model kit of one of these when I was a kid. I ruined the tail cone and loved the folding wings. Mine had a deep blue upper colour scheme. Navy blue I guess.

There's an ethereal flow for sure.

We had a landlady once who was a very firm believer in the spirit world. She was a lovely eccentric French lady.

    Re: Short Brother's Biplane

I've read accounts of WW2 attacks on warships by biplanes (not this one, the swordfish) with a torpedo slung underneath and those guys would need nerves of steel - slow lumbering planes, flying low...

I don't need the patronising tone.

So your strategy (which cannot work) is to capture members that visit a web page and hit a button to express interest. The problem with this strategy is that it...
