does that not import the existing file into a new file when you do it with a XAR [or a WEB]
indeed, you can only have one default ... and that is why the open with function is there, in case you want to use another on occasion, or change said default [other ways too to do this of course]
...
would windows actually allow that ?
I guess if you go with the setting that is best for your xara you can try the windows settings that did not work with xara with the other apps ?
EDIT - you have answered the question of default as 125% for your monitor... missed that first read, sorry
the first question is what scaling does windows recommend for your monitor at 2560 x 1440...

chris - maybe if there is 'indifference' to the tablets, then your daughter has not yet found what feels right for her - that includes the software used with it, each is subtly different
bc also mentioned it being too easy to accidentally turn off the tablet with the power button maybe it's me but i would agree, same with all the buttons and touch too i disable the lot right down to...

what often lets cheaper tablets down, apart from the things mentioned, build quality, durability, paralax, latency, is the colour fidelity and angle of view - not everyone needs these things of...
besides art is full of variables just like life itself, and so perfect does not exist as a definition in any absolute sense... unlike skill when you can at least benchmark
I sorta took the 'spot the pattern' bit as read :p

that results in two 'clipped' photos, because of xara's 'non-destructive' editing that allows you to go back, by unclipping the two parts
you need to make a bitmap copy so that you have a 'fixed'...
You can try mapping it to a grid, so you know where to go back to... but anchor it, no
+1
for fine detail the cintiq wins... but there are times when your hand gets in the way visually, or you want to 'draw/sletch at a distance like you would at arms length on paper', and then the intuos...
but they have already left that path in terms of what their main focus is - they are now into the cloud app and website building in a big way....
they always are egg ;)
they never have worked in xara afaik - they cause access violations as I recall
I was really thinking about what Egg said in that post
Also there is the possibility that the later Xara program[s] interface with the current iteration of windows 10 [which i assume you have] in...
