If you want to erase part of a shape, then you will use the Shape painter tool. Hold the Shift key and left mouse button, move the cursor over the area you want to erase.

This one had too much depth for me. As I looked at the top part, the back would loose focus and if I looked at the back, the top would loose focus. It took a minute to get everything to sink.

I guess the MOOD boards is more for agencies to use when trying to get a feel for a design and direction of a project when presenting to customers. Like I said not something I would really use much...

I see some designers use Mood/Brand board and they create these boards for use in Adobe. I was wondering if anybody does this with Xara? Do others find these useful? I don't think they would work for...

Even through you are logged in with administrator rights you still need to tell Windows to run the program as administrator.

How do you checking which version the content pack is? I have always just loaded it when I do an upgrade, so not sure which version it is.

I am showing on my system that it is installed. Droid Serif is a True Type font not Open Type font so you may have to scroll down to see it.

Have you tried installing an old version of Xara and seeing if that works. Based on what you are describing I don't think it will make a change unless it fixes something in the registry.

I am using the same version as you are(not the cloud) and I do not have any problems. I am constantly importing PDFs for changes all the time.

I am very surprised that the fonts were handled in this way. I always thought that the fonts were hosted on your website. Unless you go looking for the CSS style sheet for this, you would never know....

I would extrude the letters with a very small amount then you change the angle on them to resemble pages. Here is a very quick example
