I am not sure if I understand the question but in the layer gallery the top layer in the listing is above all the other layers and so forth on the way down.

So if you paste something on the top...

That's odd because with a parallel stereogram it's usually things too close to the left side that are hard to see.

My guess is if all you see in Unsubscribe then maybe you are already subscribed?

Wow! It's an image of ice crystals!

This one surprised me. I did not anticipate the result which is a kind of a Möbius band.

I created a blend of two rectangles and adhered them to a 270 degree circular path which was then inserted...

I've used this method so many times. And one of the most powerful functions added in recent years is convert line to shape.

I've rethought this and come up with a simpler way.

Make a version of the letter with no outline.

Clone and add an outline. Convert Outline to Shapes.

Group all. Used a rectangle and Combine...

Use the Shape Tool and Break at Points. Then delete the parts of the line you don't want.

Or make a clone of the text and copy it to the clipboard. Remove the outline.
