Craig, I think you mean the interactive transparancy tool. You are right, it looks pretty good.
Have you ever looked at MapInfo? I use it in a limited capacity, but I've looked at it and it looks like it is pretty powerful. I'm pretty sure the maps can be viewed and xoomed in and out in MapX.
