I have a solution to the problem and thought I would post it for other to see. The problem is solved by selecting the check box "Text in metafile" in the Tools > Options > Workspace > Text dialog box.

I have experienced the same save issues. And yes there have been other buggy issues that are driving me nuts. Thanks goodness Xara exists!

In the "snap to objects" options you can change the "Snapping Threshold". If you change it to High it seems to improve the snapping to the guidelines. Hope that helps.

Hi Grafixman, by line style I mean regular old line types (I guess I shouldn't use the term "style" these days...but that IS what they are called). By line types I mean dashed lines or center lines....
