When you export, under Palette Options change the "Colour Depth" to "True colour + Alpha"... also make sure you have Transparency checked on the Options tab.
We haven't even scraped the surface of strange yet. Perhaps something about asking greyhound trainers how best to plow a field? Asking newspaper printers which of their papers is best for wiping up...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to mean to anyone, and I think it's really interesting to see how people would accomplish it in Xara. However, if I were in a screwdriver forum and someone asked...
One quick note... always be sure to test your transparent images in Internet Explorer. Their support of transparent PNGs is spotty, to say the least.
I agree with behzad... It's always best to have the original art work, so press for that from your client. If they don't have the original source files themselves, you can always offer to build...
Smooth. :)
Actually, I think you hit the nail on the head - Per node instead of per line, or rather, using nodes to implicitly select the lines between them.
Given the pentagon in the diagram below, the user...
Thanks for trying Remi.
Unfortunately, I already know how to select multiple nodes and move/translate them. It's scaling and rotation that I'm after... Such as can be done with vertices in most...
Aloha folks!
I'm pretty new to Xara (just under a month now) and I'd like to start by saying that I'm completely in love with this program. I have fairly extensive experience with raster...

DoD:Source is the bomb. You and your clan have excellent taste. :)
Where's your server located? If you're on the west-coast, I'll probably drop in sometime.
Excellent. I've seen a bit of what can be accomplished with brushes, and I've been jealous. :)

I just started learning Blender this week, and I can second that. It takes a day or two to wrap your head around the interface, but it's an excellent piece of software once you're acclimated. In...
That's odd. I'm not experiencing any imprecision with the mouse (Slackware Current / KDE 3.5.3), nor have I ever noticed any difference in the mouse handling between GNU/Linux and Windows - at least...
