there hasn't been a version of the program specifically called 'xara X' for twenty years - all the versions of the program will let you do this, but the restrictions on how many times you can...

doesn't include designer pro 18 either; this was launched in it's own right before the version 19 upgrade

actually I got it to work in a way:

pity about the tendancy of art brush to produce clipped bitmaps pretending to be lines, real disapointment when they came out...

that's so, except in my perpetual version even when the button ungreys after switching back, it grey again when I switch to select tool and then back to text tool....

we maybe at cross purposes - when i said 'full colour' I meant the mid-way view quality setting, 'full colour' is what it is called for whatever reason - it removes bitmap anti-aliasing that is...
