    Re: Seamless Tiling Background Challenge

I wonder if in this case a PNG would be more economical? It would not be zoomable but might be a tradeoff. Your attachment is 145kb
  2. Re: Simplest/Easiest payment integration option for XDPX

PayPal. Generate the code and buttons, etc. on the PayPal site.

PayPal is flexible because the customer can use PayPal or a credit card. They are a huge company and work in most currencies.

    Re: Seamless Tiling Background Challenge

This is beyond the scope of this challenge. Maybe a new challenge. It is an easy pattern to replicate but I have no idea how to get the shapes to rotate when you mouse over them.
  4. Re: How many layers can be put on? How many animations? Can Xara be fooled? What if y

That's what I was going to say, Acorn. :)

I have moved this to the web design chat forum.

I do not know the answer to your question, but I like what you have created.

    Re: Better Tiling Backgrounds

Wondering. I have a folder on my desktop that I export my svg image to. Then use the Placeholder to link to the image in the folder. Can I eliminate this step for the sake of just testing the pattern?

Re: Convert a PNG background to transparent

Actually Acorn, what Boy posted is a PNG with transparency.

And there is a way to do this in Web Designer.

Apply flat, 100% Multiply (Stained Glass) transparency to the black and white image....

Are you pasting onto the Mouse Off layer? This sounds as though you might be pasting onto the Guides layer.

The ABCs of Tiling Backgrounds - I often create repeating patterns for my stereograms so I tried this pattern for a stereogram as well.

    Re: Seamless Tiling Background Challenge

    Nice one Keith.

Not really but the point of the challenge was to use Acorn's method of an svg image which I was very reluctant at first to try. But it works and creates a truly scalable...

  24. Re: error: Xara connection to ftp host has been lost and could not be re established

Right. You will need to enter password, server, etc.
  25. Re: error: Xara connection to ftp host has been lost and could not be re established

I've had issues in the past with the Connect With settings.

See what happens if you just select FTP. If this is successful then this may be the problem.
