I don't know how I solved this, just playing around with the transpareny tool

I am using the polar website layout. I can see the photo in a group with 2 objects in it: Rectangle and as Clipped ... MouseOff.
Selecting Rectangle seems to put me in transparency mode but then...

When I Ctrl-click versus just click, a little hand appears in one corner and another rotate icon in another corner. What would you like me to test ?

I have a header image with transparency enabled but would like to remove the effect ? But how ?
Clicking the icon (F6) doesn't give me any option to disable the effect
