    For me it has less to do with snapping explicitly and more the logic behind the outline of the shape being treated as a part of the actual shape or not.

    As I mentioned, I like the way it works...

    As a developer, I can see the logic in using the button for both items, since if the line width will be scaled when the object is, it shouldn't also be used to calculate the size of the object.
