    Re: Favicons

    Yes, it does work :D

    Marcia can you please try John's suggestion and install the latest IE8?

    Your favicon works fine in my IE8 also, so the problem appears to be your copy of IE8.

    Have you had success with this?
    Always good to hear positive (aka Success!)...

    From the source of your page:

    <link rel="icon" type="image/ico" href="micon"/>

    You forgot something Peter :(

    Try this instead:
    <link rel="icon" type="image/ico" href="micon.ico">

    Hans I do not believe that is accurate information.

    Perhaps you could qualify that comment a little more?

    Re: Favicons

    No, size (in this instance) doesn't matter ;)

    You can place the placeholder object named <head> OFF the page in the grey pasteboard area.
    One line of code should to it - at least it works for me...

    Re: Favicons

    Check you .web file, because I don't think you have it quite right.

    Your favicon is NOT in the head :(

    Notice too that the id="xn:60head:62"" isn't quite right.

    Re: Favicons

    Chrome places the favicon on the page TAB (next to the page title) rather than in the Address field.

    It shows fine in Chrome here ;)

    Re: Favicons

    There's a very neat freeware icon editor available here which would work well for companion editing.

    Re: Favicons

    Xtreme doesn't output to .ico format.
    But you can create your graphic in Xtreme, save as png then open it in IrfanView and then save as .ico :)
