And finally I'm off to bed but here's another with a slower end transition. This has increased the swf file size greatly.

Re: Once you've animated, you have export options in Xara

And a further refinement. This animation is similar to the last but as well as rotating some elements have been expanded or contracted using Shift resizing. I think this effect gives a more chaotic...

Re: Once you've animated, you have export options in Xara

Cheers Gary, I couldn't work on yours as it was to difficult to back engineer the animation but I think this is what you may find helpful. There are a couple of warnings on export but it doesn't seem...

Re: Once you've animated, you have export options in Xara

Here's your animation but the plane has been converted to a bitmap. This avoids the breaking up.

Re: Once you've animated, you have export options in Xara

Cheers Boy, it's been an interesting thread.

csehz, I know exactly what you mean, I had the same issue when I created my first paper plane animation. I found the only way to avoid this was to...

Re: Once you've animated, you have export options in Xara

Hi csehz, no no transparencies but circles with no fill, no stroke(line). The trick is to ensure the visible object is always within the containing circle.
I attach an animation with the circles set...

Re: Once you've animated, you have export options in Xara

Yes chehz, yes that's correct. In my animation there are two states for each graphic, a start and and an end position. The start position time determines how long the tween should exist between to...

Re: Once you've animated, you have export options in Xara

If you use Flash to create animations like this it is very much easier as you can create a graphic and make it follow a path and it's very simple. However in Xara you need to do a lot more thinking...

Re: Once you've animated, you have export options in Xara

The file size can be reduced fairly drastically by not using such big bitmap copies Gary.

Don't know why the swf isn't animating here.

Re: Creating a flickering light in Xara

Cheers Gary. I was going to use this effect to recreate your fairly recent neon sign tutorial but as always time is the problem.

Other Gary. Monica is the OP or am I missing your point?

Re: Creating a flickering light in Xara

Try this xar file. It's very similar to the effect you want. To create the flicker just create a black shape over a bitmap (bitmap in this case is in the background layer) name the shape "darkener"...
