    Re: Daughter's Work

There are a number of online art groups where you can participate (or not participate) as much as you wish and that may be a way forward for your daughter because it's such a supportive, encouraging...

    Re: Visitor

    Exactly.

Anyway, people evolve, software evolves and directions change and it can be very unproductive living in the past.

I came across this link because of an old email. Other emails from...

    Re: Visitor

That's a great link. Valery's conductor is amazing too.

I think Gray is one of the few still producing incredible images today.

Impressive for a website creation program..

    Re: Visitor

OK, it's been a LONG time since this thread was started, but I came across an old link.

Personally I think this was the best artwork created with Xara ever. Worth a second look.

    Re: Responsive web pages

We can agree to disagree. I assume that you used the wrong word and meant to say the responsive option.

I think a lot of people think responsive site means one-size-fits all but that's not the...

    Re: Responsive web pages

    Yes, I did mention it!

I stick with my post, though as you say that scaling wasn't around way back when, but is now.

    Re: Responsive web pages

Tim, Xara does not do responsive websites.

Xara does adaptive websites - fixed sizes at width breakpoints, so you can build for mobile.

People seem to use a Xara scale setting to set the mobile...

Re: No audio (MP3) in Chrome?

I think you need to explain.

Whenever I see anyone using that expression, it just seems to be a way to dismiss and put down someone who's opinion isn't liked.

    There's lot's of people I don't...

Handrawn: Off this topic, but thought of you the other day while watching Grayson Perry's American Road Trip (CH4) - he did his final Artwork on a Cintique (I think).

Re: No audio (MP3) in Chrome?

I hate the term "snowflake". It's just a very petty intolerant insult to close off other people's opinions and denigrate them.

It's long been regarded as rude to push audio onto people without...

    Re: ICON't believe it!

I used an ICL 1900 back in the day in my O- Level, then A-Level Computer Science course.
  19. Re: Days of old. Days of excitement. Days of WOW!

I have a lot of work emails and it really surprises me what I was doing back then that I'd completely forgotten about.
  20. Re: Days of old. Days of excitement. Days of WOW!

I just happened to have an old backup and I thought I'd take a look.

I have (had) a habit of emailing myself interesting links. Very few links from that period are valid - not just the link but...

I generally don't buy new phones. My Android phone was new because it was dirt cheap.
Similarly I generally don't buy new Apple kit unless I can source it at a good discount.
