I have both Xara X1 and Xara Extreme installed
If i click on the grid on X1 the grid appears as expected, however on Extreme the grid fills the grey area that surrounds the canvas and disappears...

sydney is where i live....we obviously need more people here to help fill out your map.To get a passport a good working knowledge of xara should be sufficient but check with immigration first.

at first glance the renderer has improved a great deal more certainly in quality .it does remain as slow as ever though(i did a test render with one terrain only using true ambiance setting and depth...

was able to reproduce on my p.c. the blend problem which you have with similar results (invisible outlines)but had no problems with access violation on saving after modifying and saving brushes...

the slicing tool issue has still not been fixed with latest patch...have posted a message about it to xara people..awaiting their reply

if i draw a rectangle and put an ellipse on top.. then click on slice there's still an annoying gap around to where the ellipse has been sliced...that's with the new patch(1a.a).
