  1. Breakbeat Record Label Logo (graff stylee)

    126086

This was done for another breakbeat hardcore label. Their original logo was a stencil that just says '4 the core' but they explicitly said they came to me for some graffiti style, so I did...
  2. Re: Album Cover WIP (Warning: Cringy Content/Mild Violence)

The only font used is the label-maker font. All other lettering is by hand. :)
  3. Re: Album Cover WIP (Warning: Cringy Content/Mild Violence)

Femme fatle? Voldemorte? I guess? The hand is of a person who's not on the level in modern society, so nails...i felt was a good way of conveying 'evil' or 'not normal'. It's a societal reflection...
  4. Re: Album Cover WIP (Warning: Cringy Content/Mild Violence)

Your sentiments are mine. I feel like it's a case by case basis whether groups or layers are more appropriate. I like having both at my disposal. I think the 'professional' consensus is layers,...

    Re: Skyrocket WIP

I love Wings3D. I wish I had more time to play with it. It's so good. I miss Nendo...I bought it back in the day, but have since lost my copy of it and it's no longer available. Wings is a good...

    Re: First Logo

When dealing with a client, you really have to think 4 or 5 steps ahead.

This is professional advice and you can ignore it or take part of it or all of it, but just know I had to pay a lot of...

Re: Graff 'logo' for Silence Eluwei

Merch, video intros, etc. They're a DJ, so...idk...the interesting thing is that people that follow this person say "Wow, that's the first logo that really suits you!" So i'm a little happy about...

    Graff 'logo' for Silence Eluwei

More work for the hardcore DJ's popping up out of nowhere (not really, they were always there, but the music style seems to be gaining popularity again)

Colors were the DJ's choice, as were the...

    Re: First Logo

You can also stylize the glyphs as well, i.e. keep them close together and add new ways to 'separate them', which was my personal suggestion. :) There's more than one way to do it. :)

    Re: First Logo

Okay, some critiques. Don't worry, these are things I'd tell anyone, so I'm not just being mean to you. :)

1.) It's TJ's Bike & Moped, i.e. TJBM, but the TJBM looks like NBM, which conflicts...
  11. Re: Album Cover WIP (Warning: Cringy Content/Mild Violence)

Lately I'm finding it useful to make a layer and lock it with a hand drawn image from paper with 30% transparency above the actual image I'm vectoring. :) I do typically, though, just immediately...
  12. Re: Album Cover WIP (Warning: Cringy Content/Mild Violence)

Yeah, it is, but in this case, I know the audience and they'll already know it's Abyss. One of the freedoms you get with artistic license when you're not worrying about that too much. Plus, the...

I just want to say 'cloud' is a trendy thing and we all know what happens to trends. Personally, SAAS models make me sick. I prefer to buy once, own forever. Constant updates means instability in...

I would love them to keep the interface as is and simply make it multiplatform and utilize the GPU for even more groundbreaking possibilites. I still think Xara, even with it's limitations, is by...

Re: First Stereogram of the New Year!

Is this a separate xara program you used to make this or are you just insane and managed to create this in normal Xara P+GD? And yes, I can see the image. "A scooner IS a sailboat, stupid!" :P

  19. Album Cover WIP (Warning: Cringy Content/Mild Violence)

So I'm working on a cover for an album which is mostly dark jungle/dnb. It's called Amen Formulation and I thought, for some reason, of Dark City while listening to it and that lead me into the...

    Artistic License vs. Technical Ability

One thing I've noticed as of late...and maybe some of you have noticed it too, is that there seems to be an uptick of 'technical instruction' over artistic instruction.

    What I mean by this...

Xara has impressed me with it's font handling. And there already is a way to categorize them. It doesn't do it automagically, but you can do it.
