    Re: Affinity Publisher

Me too. The StudioLink technology was quite a surprise announcement. I was always a bit confused opening the same file from within Designer into Photo, and then back again. Now it's seamless, and...

  3. Re: Problems with Windows Scaling (e.g. "200%") when using a high resolution (4K) scr

It is a shame. It makes one wonder if their management actually use the program as a professional designer might.

Not trying to be controversial, but in some ways I think Xara management are...

    Re: Affinity Publisher

Just to clarify and balance my moan about the price of upgrading Xara Photo & Graphic Designer, when all is said and done, the actual cost of buying a new copy is still very good value for what you...

I'm also going to pre-order with the 30% discount.

I was waiting to 'upgrade' my copy of Xara Photo & Graphic Designer, but that meant paying about 75% of the cost of a new copy which seemed a...

    Re: New bitmap tracer

Thanks letting me know about the broken link, and yes that's the page. Strange really, as I copied it directly from the references section this wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potrace

    Re: New bitmap tracer

I havenít the patience to use the Xara bitmap tracer and often it just doesnít work as expected. I have however achieved some very useful results using the one that is integrated into Inkscape.

Another great drawing and interesting story to go with it. I keep thinking about how the pilots must have shared flying duties and got any sleep on those long flights!

Re: setting default on line spacing

    Hi Egg,

I've just tried saving as a template, but when I deleted the styled text and saved, it also removed the style. Maybe because the program thinks it hasn't been used, a bit like removing...

Re: setting default on line spacing

Could you setup text styles to control the leading you require?

I think 120% has been, and still is, the default starting value for programs like InDesign and MS Word.

The file opened OK for me (Photo & Graphic Designer 16) other than warning me I didn't have Century Gothic font installed.

Another great drawing. You've really brought it to life.

I've just been reading up on Wikipedia and apparently it was the first aircraft to sink a ship with a torpedo.

Hi Lorrain, have you tried your brush with different art brush scaling options?

Repeat along stroke (with any line cap) seemed to work for me.
