    Re: 404 Competition

The font is Bombu, I would have picked it up during a sweep for grunge things I suspect.

    Re: Repeating objects not repeating?

Do you have Scale To Fit Width turned on? Utilities > Web Properties > Export (tab).

I have an itch that says this happened to me, and it was STFW that was the culprit. I could also be miles off...

Re: Text is not showing correctly on website

It's not just Chrome, all browsers save data for faster re-visits to the page. Editing, especially text, often requires the cache to be cleared to force a fresh view of the uploaded content.

You need to clear the cache in Chrome. CTRL+F5 if you're on a desktop, Settings > Privacy > Clear cache if mobile.

    Re: Redirecting

This is something that is done on your hosting. In cPanel it's under the heading Domains, and is called Redirects.

If you don't find something similar in your control panel, start a ticket with...

    Re: Thumbnails

Try running the built-in Windows Disc Clean-Up.

When it fires up, scroll to the bottom and tick the reference to the Thumbnail Cache. Basically, it deletes the stored (remembered) icons and...

    Re: Video Jukebox

Thank you for answering. I did try that and it didn't work. To be fair, the path was pretty long, so I whacked the videos directly onto the root drive...which also failed to work.

    However, before...

    Video Jukebox

I've been asked to create several presentation packages that will be run directly from a USB thumb drive(s).
I'd like to use Initiostar's JS Video Player as part of the presentations. However, not...

Re: Error Message opening .xar file

If you open Xara and go to: Utilities > Options > Backups (tab) it will tell you where your backups are stored. If the document had been saved, all you need do is look for the name. If never saved,...

    Re: The Best Logo Design?

I'm slower than most. I saw an apple, and a flame...spicy apple, what's the prob...oh.
  14. Re: Nav bar warning "You have at least one button with both a link and a menu

Yes, it would always keep the menu on screen. If you're a little nervous of going too far too fast, then don't do the above. The bar would be in the wrong place and would require a little fiddling to...
  15. Re: Nav bar warning "You have at least one button with both a link and a menu

Create a rectangle the same size and colour as your 'About Beverly', 'Contact', etc and place it behind the links.
Change the menu text colour to white.
Marquee select the rectangle and all the...
  16. Re: Nav bar warning "You have at least one button with both a link and a menu

For the content that isn't the main focus, extra info, an aside or a post script type of thing, you can place a line of text, or an object to act as a link that triggers a Layer.

    Layers are...
  17. Re: Nav bar warning "You have at least one button with both a link and a menu

I'd certainly leave the page construction the same as possible, but I'd use hamburger (stupid name) menus for the mobile site.

I'm heading out for the working day, but I'll have a mess around this...
  18. Re: Nav bar warning "You have at least one button with both a link and a menu

Acorn may well have turned in for the night.

It looks like he used the same theory as I did. The 'main' menu (Home Beardies Litters Links Contact About Us) is repeated on all pages. The 'sub' menu...
  19. Re: Nav bar warning "You have at least one button with both a link and a menu

On Emerald's page, if you select the bar Hollywood Actor and Utilities > Names, you will see it is named 'actor'.
Now, click any object (the photo with the sheep for example) and Utilities > Web...

    Re: Header across the Page

Typo in post #1. The link reads canisoft, and it should read canissoft (double s).
  21. Re: Nav bar warning "You have at least one button with both a link and a menu

Now that's a lot of purple.

    Jumping to certain content:
Name an object you want to jump to. In this case I used the respective title bars, Information and Hollywood Actor. (select object -...
  22. Re: XDPX18 picture resizing frame invisible, drag and drop no go

I'm still sulking, so no, no it doesn't make me feel better. Might do in a day or two though. I'll pop back and let you know.
  23. Re: Nav bar warning "You have at least one button with both a link and a menu

I'm with you when you say you're a visual person, Sue.

I started trying to write how I'd trim down the menus and gave up. I then decided to do a couple of blank pages, and one thing lead to...
  24. Re: XDPX18 picture resizing frame invisible, drag and drop no go

Well, that's unbelievable. After all this time, you'd think I would have done that by accident and gone 'hang on a minute' and worked it out.
These handles have been discussed many times, I'll bet...
  25. Re: XDPX18 picture resizing frame invisible, drag and drop no go

Things no longer snap to objects when resizing either. I miss that a lot, and whinged about it well over a year ago. Nobody else has ever mentioned it though, so it must be me that's just sulky.
