    Re: Climbing the heights

Risto's whole point is to make anyone look bad who isn't one of the "yes" men. You have to agree with him, but I don't. I reserve the right to disagree. It's a man's world, you see. I was here 8...

    Re: opportunist

You have to admire the cleverness of critters to get the food from bird feeders. Great catch, Norman.

    Re: Climbing the heights

This is the Painter forum??? sure looked like the Graphics Gallery to me. If not, you really are off topic, Risto. The subject was painting with ArtRage, finding new techniques.

    Here's one I...

    Re: Climbing the heights

    Thanks, John.

The native resolution of the program appears to be 72 dpi, or perhaps on this is what has been saved in the original picture, I ought to try a 300 dpi image and see what happens. 72...

    Climbing the heights

What lies over the next rise? What remains unseen because we are too tired to keep on?

When there is no trail, you make your own.

    Re: What PC to buy?

The computer is a method of running the operating system which runs your programs. If your operating system allows you to run more programs, it is a great convenience.

I have both MAC and PC...

    Re: Inkscape with Wacom Graphire4

You could try setting your tablet to "mouse mode" rather than "pen mode" and see if it behaves itself. Also check if there is a newer driver from Wacom which addresses the issue. They update drivers...

    Re: One picture on Saturdey

    So Valery,

You draw with your signature. Must make it a "signature piece". Idiom in my language meaning "worth having", "limited edition", "unique", "one of a kind".

Of which it is, all of the...

    Re: Elephant Sunset

Thanks, the only thing that makes it cooler here is to be glad I'm here and not there, I guess. It is steamy in Southern California.

ArtRage. That moment just as it begins to rain, still flooded with golden sunlight, an experience for all the senses. Ah, smell the rain!

Stop looking delicious and you won't have a problem. Either that or don't be "seedy". Take your pick, which ever fits.

    Re: On a Mission

This is a photo enhanced to be a painting. You can take a drawing in Xara, and make it look completely real, but from that, you could make it look like it was done on canvas.

    It is just another...

    Re: Excuse me for butting-in

This one reducing the photograph to what could be rendered in a more painterly manner, I started in Painter. There is also some Photoshop in this as I extended the canvas to the right.

    Re: More Veggies/Fruit/Food

    Re: Another Art-Rageous attempt

ArtRage has fewer tools, but you can clone with it. I drew this from a photograph and painted it once it was drawn.

I don't care for the cloning you get with CorelPainter Essentials.

    And...

    Another Art-Rageous attempt

Found this a while back, and couldn't see doing the woven ornaments hanging from her wrist in Xara, thought I'd give this a try.
